Clarifi offers advice and support through its programmes that have been devised specifically for survivors of CSA, encouraging them to confront the exact nature of the abuse and helping them to move forward through therapy and healing. The Social Work Practice Pioneer Projects scheme was launched to offer the opportunity for a variety of groups and local authorities to develop projects seen as offering real benefits for those in need of specialist help and services.
A total of ten organisations were short-listed, out of many applications, by a panel selected by the ScIE and consisting of representatives from the College of Social Work, the British Association of Social Workers, the Local Government Association and the Department of Health, along with an academic, and user and expert of mental health services.
The ScIE is an independent charity working with a range of social work services across the UK. By gathering and analysing information through research they aim to improve the knowledge and skills of frontline social work professionals and offer a range of practical guides and learning materials.
